It's customary to acknowledge people in the armed forces by saying "thanks for your service". But you are in the Peace Forces and I want to thank you for YOUR service. If we all followed this example, the world would be a better place for everyone.
I would be happy to sponsor a set of books for your kids. Where can I contribute? And how much does it cost to give a class a set of books of their own?
My mom read to kids her entire adult life. She was good at it, and kids loved her and her reading. Big Mama wanted all children to love books and reading as much as she loved them, and she planted the seeds for that, everywhere she went.
I will continue, until I die, to maintain the Little Free Library in front of my house, the house I shared with my mother until her death four years ago. I do that in Big Mama’s honor, and if you will accept my contribution toward a set of books for your kids, I will do that in her honor, as well.
Wow! That’s so generous! I do need between 12-15 copies of the Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket. I’ll price them and get back to you. I will let them know that they are in honor of Big Mama.
Such a positive way to volunteer your time! I believe in the power of reading to children. Thank you for your service for 7 and 8 year olds in your school district.
We love your coming to our class on Tuesday! Tahnk you so much for gifting your reading to us all at Audubon.
I adore everything you wrote. Thank you for continuing the love of literature to our FC youth 🤗💛
Thanks for the note!
I look forward to it every week 😀

I’m the one who should be thanking the kids.
